How does it work?

The solution to acquiring that perfect smile might be dental facets (veneers), which are made of composite or ceramic material and are bonded in a special way to the front of the tooth, which is gently grounded. In case the tooth can no longer be treated using a veneer, because of extensive damage of the tooth, a dental crown can be used instead. These are created according to the shape and colour of the original tooth, so you won’t even be able to tell the difference!

Contraindications

Lack of enamel – in this case it is not possible to form a facet.

Dental facets can be considered a painless solution to restoring your smile. How does this treatment work? It only takes two appointments!

First appointment

During the first appointment, the dentist will go over the entire treatment process with the patient, from the grinding of the teeth to the application of the facet itself. We are committed to keeping our patients informed about the entire course of treatment they are about to undergo. After the consultation comes the choice of the shade of the facet and the grinding of the teeth. Grinding is performed under local anaesthesia, so the patient does not have to worry about feeling any pain. An impression is then made which is used to accurately create your new smile. After this it is sent to a lab where they create a custom facet! The patient does not have to worry about being left with only ground teeth during this time. A temporary dental facet is made while you wait to protect your teeth until the permanent dental facet is applied.
Second appointment

This appointment does not involve any grinding or more complicated examinations. The newly created permanent facet is tested to see if it fits and, if everything is fine, the patient is only one step away from his or her dream smile. In order to apply the facet to the ground teeth, dental cement needs to be applied to ensure that the facet stays in place.
