How does it work?

At our clinic, we try to recommend the best possible solutions to each of our patient’s. One of them is “All-on” implants, which offer the possibility of achieving a long-lasting healthy smile! This is a treatment that can be performed in just one session. In order for the implant to form, there has to be enough of a bone structure remaining in the jaw.

How does the treatment work?

  • A consultation is essential
    The first and most important step is the initial consultation. During the first appointment, the dentist will take an X-ray which will give him a better idea about which type of “All-on” procedure is most suitable for the patient. A treatment plan is set, a quote is determined and a date is set for the next appointment.
  • Them come the implants
    After the consultation and extraction of the remaining teeth, we can proceed to the insertion of implants. These are inserted during just one session. If the dentist has indicated an All-on-4 procedure, the patient will have four implants inserted. For an All-on-6, that’s six implants.
  • Healing time
    After implantation, the body needs to be given time to recover. If healing progresses as it should, in most cases a temporary prosthesis is fitted as early as 7 days after the initial procedure. Before that, the dentist will check that all the implants have been fitted correctly to avoid unwanted problems.
  • Then it’s just one step away from a new smile
    The time it takes for the jaw to accept a dental bridge or a fixed prosthesis varies depending on a number of factors. However, it can take approximately 2-6 months after the fitting of the implants. It is very individual, so it is best to undergo regular check-ups, where the dentist will set an exact date for the fitting of dentures.
  • Don’t underestimate the aftercare
    Even if you undergo a more demanding treatment, the result is worth it! You will be adorned with a beautiful smile that will make you shine. But to make it last as long as possible, don’t underestimate regular check-ups at the dentist’s!
