Initial check-up​

This can include questions about smoking, allergies and medication use, for example. It is essential not to conceal any facts, as they may put your health at risk!
   
   
2. After ascertaining your medical history, the dentist proceeds with an extraoral and intraoral examination. It’s nothing for the patient to worry about. Our welcoming and professional team always approach all patients in a good mood and are happy to explain everything you are interested in, not only during the initial check-up. You will be comfortably seated in a chair and they will start with an examination of your lymph nodes, muscles or temporomandibular joint. This is followed by an examination of the oral cavity. This includes not only a standard examination of the teeth, but also a thorough examination of the soft tissues, periodontium, examination of the intermaxillary relationships or the current state of your dentures.
   
   
3. What can’t an initial medical examination do without? Well, without X-rays! It is a painless examination that in many cases can reveal hidden problems.
   
   
4. The last step of the initial examination is a treatment proposal and a quote. If the dentist detects any problems during the examination, he or she will inform the patient of the possible risks and suggest a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s needs. An estimated price is determined in advance and a suitable appointment is selected for the patient depending on the severity of the problem.
